In 2022, the Utah Department of Health (UDOH) and the Utah Department of Human Services (DHS) merged together to become the Utah Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS). I was on a small team with a representative from each department to brand the new department.

The new logo was designed jointly with Penna Powers, a local design firm. This design represents that compassion and love is the cornerstone how the department serves the people of Utah.

The designs are based on the keywords the Branding Workgroup developed through surveys and input from the staff of the departments that best represent the direction of the newly merged department: Equity, Empathy, Innovation, Accountability, Connection, Efficacy, Support and Impact.
