This particular box is intended to hold succulent plants that can be purchased and then safely transported home. I had not used kraft paper as a substrate before and wanted to challenge myself. While we had the option to create this project in any color scheme of our choosing, I chose a 1/0. This choice I believe helped give the product a sense of being eco-friendly and added to the earthy tone of the paper.
It took me a while to come up with name Terra Nouveau but that allowed me to have a more defined direction for my box product. I researched Art Nouveau styles and created my own designs to embellish the box using the succulent shapes and motifs. I also added some modern shapes which tie it into today.
